Pope Joan Movie News!
(updated October 2009)
October 2009
Donna is in Berlin, Germany, ready to attend the world
premier of the Pope Joan movie which will take place Monday,
October 19th!
The US premiere is still to be determined.
........................................................................
Pope Joan has finished filming! It's now
in post-production (editing). The movie was filmed in Germany
and Morocco--yes, Morocco! For it's impossible to film
ninth-century Rome in the city that exists today, so Constantin
recreated it in the sands of Ouarzazate. Johanna Wokalek is
brilliant as Joan, as is David Wenham as Gerold, and John
Goodman as Pope Sergius.

from Donna, who was on the set in both countries,

about once each month. |
