There are
several dubbed-into-German versions of this Pope Joan trailer circulating on
YouTube, some with very bad subtitles. This dubbed version was for German
audiences only. In fact, the movie is in English (as the presence
of John Goodman, David Wenham, and Iain Glen
proves.) So here's the REAL version of the
Pope Joan movie trailer, as originally
filmed.
(Note: It's impossible to duplicate the fine quality of the film here, so
it looks a bit fuzzy. But it's enough to give you a "sense of the film"
and the fine acting, direction, and cinematography involved. I'm the
author of the novel upon which the film is based, and I love this movie--and how
often do you hear an author say that?)
